1. Initiated recruitment efforts for physicians to locate in Cherryville.
2. First economic development commission was established.
3. Wastewater treatment plant was built with federal and state grant monies. New water storage was constructed with state grant monies to accommodate industrial and residential growth.
4. Instrumental in the recruitment of Keystone Carbon Company, Bradington Young, Inc, Modern Polymers, and Pepsi Cola Company.
